ABOUT TRACEY INGRAM-LEE, Au.D.
Clinical Expertise. Personalized Coaching. Real Results.
I'm Tracey Ingram-Lee, an ASHA-certified speech professional with a Doctorate in Audiology and over 17 years of specialized experience in American English accent modification.
I work with accomplished professionals who feel their spoken English isn't fully reflecting who they are or what they're capable of. That gap between how you think and how you sound is exactly what I help close.
My Approach
My work is practical, deeply personal, and grounded in clinical science. As an ASHA-certified speech professional with a Doctorate in Audiology, a background in speech pathology, and specialized certification from the Institute of Language & Phonology, I don't just teach you sounds. I help you understand how you communicate and why certain patterns may be getting in the listener's way.
I customize every program to address pronunciation, language skills, and grammar together, because real clarity in American English isn't just about individual sounds. It's about rhythm, intonation, sentence stress, and how all of it lands in a meeting, a presentation, or an important moment in your life. Every lesson is grounded in a renowned, research-based methodology, ensuring that what you learn is clinically sound, not guesswork.
There is no progress without awareness first.
If you don't know your error patterns and how they impact the listener, you won't be able to change them. Once you understand what's truly getting in the way, and you accept where you are and what you're capable of, real work can begin.
Progress is not linear and change doesn't happen overnight. But if you're willing to put in the time and effort consistently, you'll find it's well worth the investment. I'm here for you wherever you are on this journey.
What sets my practice apart: I personally conduct your comprehensive speech evaluation and every subsequent session. There is no handoff. You work with me from start to finish on a curriculum built specifically around your goals, your language background, and your life.
I've had the privilege of teaching accent modification live in Barcelona, Spain, and I currently work with clients online across the globe and conduct in-person customized programs in Chicago.

Héctor Ramirez, Concierge (Hospitality)
"I always rolled my Râsâespecially in words like âaroundâ or âgroceryââand it made me self-conscious at work. Guests sometimes couldnât understand me. Coaching helped me soften my R and master the American âthâ too. My friends noticed right away and my American co-workers said I was easier to understand."
Genevieve Dubois, Marketing Professional (Paris)
"As a native French speaker, I always felt like my English sounded a bit âflatâ and almost robotic. After working on the rhythm and flow of American English, I finally learned to stress key syllables and glide over others. My colleagues even noticed the change, saying my English now sounds much more engaging and confident! Itâs incredible how much rhythm impacts communication."
Lin Gong, M.E., Former Language Teacher
"Speaking English is always frustrating for us Mandarin native speakers. Working with Tracey helped to improve my English accent in a short period. I recommend her to others to benefit from their new American English accent."
Sofia Escobar, Legal Advocate
"I had tried other accent programs with little success. In just 13 weeks, I stopped dropping final consonants and corrected my verb tenses. Now clients understand me the first time I speak. The difference in clarity and confidence is real."
